Due to regulatory incentives, Category 3 animal fats are increasingly being used for energy. This undermines the Pet food industry’s work to meet the needs of over 90 million pet owning households in the EU. Category 3 animal fats are a valuable pet food ingredient and any changes to EU Biofuel rules pose a significant threat to Europe’s pet food supply.
